Often when we ask someone if they might be interested in joining Rotary, we get the reply “Oh, I’m much too busy to take on anything else”. In our experience, the opposite is true, and we find that busy people make the best members of a Rotary Club.
Membership of a Rotary Club does not have to involve a large time commitment. Attendance rules at meetings are now much more relaxed than before to enable members to contribute in ways other than just turning up for a weekly meeting.
More important are the individual skills or interests which each one of us have. We are all different, and that is what makes being a Rotarian so much fun. Contributing a little of your skills for the improvement of your community is immensely satisfying.
Remember the Rotary motto – “Service Above Self”.
